Transformers - More than meets the eye!

I went to go see the Transformers movie yesterday with triple_x. I will confess to a taste for movies that are aimed at kids, as well as movies with plenty of special effects. I have to say that, aside from the typical Hollywood silliness, I was not disappointed. Plenty of FX, and a slightly geeky kid helping to save the world. Even the love interest had some depth to her that made her bearable. I wouldn't even say there were plot holes you could drive Optimus Prime through (although maybe Bumblebee). It did not hurt having a media geek along to help keep me up on relevant Transformers trivia.

Speaking as said media geek and lover of pop corn. i thought that it was a good movie to spend an afternoon watching with someone you like and then discussing.
