what a morning

For starters, someone turned the alarm off by accident yesterday, so it was entirely by my internal clock that I was able to wake up enough to see that it was time to get up.

I had a bunch of puttering I wanted to do before bdot comes by to clean today so my morning was already a busy one. After getting most of what I wanted done on the internet this morning, I thought of one more thing I wanted to do, only to discover our internet seems to be down. I did not have time to troubleshoot it, since I was already running late, but it also means that the invite to birthday events for abditus is down also (btw, some of the info on there is misleading - dinner on Tuesday is at 7:30, not Sunday). Went downstairs to discover that someone had left the leftover ingredients from the root-beer floats in a bag on an upholstered chair in the living-room, including what was left of the ice cream. Fortunately there were only a couple of small holes in the plastic grocery bag because the ice cream container had been on its side and leaked everything out.

I got into work at 9:30, so it is fortunate that my boss is out of town (and that she is letting me use her primo parking spot) but I have way too much to do today.

nothing as bad as the morning, but I was slammed at work, and did not get several things done that were due today.
