UK alternative

So, for all you guys out there that think the idea of wearing a kilt for everyday wear, but can't afford a UtiliKilt (or just want an alternative) check out the Mountain Kilt by Mountain Hardwear.

The problems I have with their "Kilt" is that it is the EXACT same garment as their pack skirt at the bottom of the page. It hasn't a stitch of pleating, and it appears to be made of polyester. And no decent pockets to speak of. Yes, utilikilts are expensive, but worth it for a reason. Don't settle for a skirt with a fancy name, get the real thing.

All of your points did cross my mind, and I tend to agree. I still think this is an alternative that has some viability, even if it is not a replacement for a real UtiliKilt.
