A friend of mine,
ismirth, is writing a series in her blog about dating and basic social behavior advice. She is my age (early-mid 30's) and recently decided to go back to collage, so has been living at UCSC for the past year (or is it two now?). This means she has been surrounded by lots of young college students just living away from home for the first time, which is the trigger for some of her topics. It is primarily targeted at young (or not so young) guys, but most of the advice is universal.
I wanted to point these out because, not only can she have some insightful things to say, she really wants feedback. At the moment, there has only been one posted in her blog about rudimentary eating and social habits that is more in the form of a rant, and needs some polish, but still worth a read. To see these in your lj, her blog is syndicated at
ismirthblogspot, but comment on her real blog site so it does not get lost (you will need to sign-up for a free blogger account).
Now, I know most of my lj friends are not the target, per se, but I ask you to read, and especially to comment, if you have any wisdom to add, edits to suggests or even points of disagreement to bring up, because I think you will have additional insights on the subjects she writes about in this series.
Thank you!
