Do you FastTrak?

I just read that they are raising the tolls on the bay area bridges by $1 starting July 1. However, if you have a FastTrak it will remain the current price through October. I am happy to say that abditus and I both have been using the FastTrak system for a while, and am glad we do, especially now.

If you have yet to get one, yet have been considering it, now is the time! You can even do it online.

This is a result of a vote back in March and was actually pushed back from June 1.

The FasTrak is a new thing, I believe to get more people onto the system.

from the begining, they said that fast trak would be a dollar less.... for a while!

Actually, I did vote, and I do remember the dollar toll hike. What I did not remember (or had not noticed until now) was that FastTrak users would not have to start until after October. I guess my post is a bit badly worded.

I've had mine since October 1998. Neener. Of course, the only bridge it worked on then was the Carquinez (Southern California notwithstanding)...
