Silly mp3 player meme
Feb. 19th, 2004 02:54 pm1. Open Winamp or iTunes (or your MP3 Player of Choice)
2. Let it play on random/shuffle.
3. Write down the first 10 songs. It's not worth cheating.
It might not be worth cheating if I did not have carpal tunnel. When I realized that to get a clear list of what the first random songs would be I was going to have to make a playlist (in iTunes) that contained everything, I set-up that up first. This also meant I could easily export it as a file to save myself all that typing. Once I set-up the playlist and reopened iTunes, here is what I got:
1. Battlecruiser Millennium Theme: Mystique Silence: 3000AD - BC:M
2. Yulunga (Spirit Dance): Dead Can Dance: Into The Labyrinth
3. Return To Innocence: Enigma: The Cross Of Changes
4. Question Mark (Que Vas A Hacer): Esquivel: Cabaret Manana
5. Wrong Number: The Cure: Greatest Hits
6. The Cutter: Echo & The Bunnymen: Songs To Learn & Sing
7. Common Ground (Velho Sermao): Winter, Paul: Common Ground
8. Cold & Intimate: Nitin Sawhney: Prophesy
9. I Feel Loved: Depeche Mode: Exciter
10. Sick Caesar: Curtis: Paris Lounge 2 : Paris By Day 12.00 PM
This from my work collection of only 1453. Since my home collection has at least 2666 at the moment (so reports my iPod), the results would be very different, I am sure.
