Surreal for the win

There is something to say about staying good friends with your exes. I will admit to it being rather amusing having an ex agree to help me pick out a new sweater as a gift for the new boy. However, it got much more surreal when new boy joined us so we could better fit his ever-shrinking body and it turned into a build-a-boyfriend workshop. Instead of a new sweater, we instead dressed him a new jacket, t-shirt, dress shirt and jeans. All of which fit him a fair sight better than the sweater I kidnapped from him that he was wearing before (it will be returned very soon for good behavior).
Yesterday afternoon saw me as the shurpa who held all the bags (including three laptops) to free up the boys to try things on, and the one standing in line to pay for the final choices. I feel like I have paid a bit against my shopping karma. Meanwhile, watching
inside_edge give
chaosloom advice on how to treat himself with new well-fitting clothes throughout his weight loss journey was priceless and warmed the cockles of my heart.
Despite
inside_edge's playful suggestions, I really did not plan this to ambush
chaosloom (for which he figured out on his own), and in fact it was just as surreal for me that it turned out the way it did.
Thanks again go to
inside_edge for all his care and advice. And major props to
chaosloom for being such a sport.
