So I have had this crick in my back for almost two weeks now, and think a nice soak in a hot tub would help. A friend and I want to go to a hot tub place today, and are not sure which places are good.

Please recommend an east bay hot tub place that would suit this need.

Thank you!

The Berkeley Sauna's in Berekeley on Milvia near Shattuck. (across from Au Cocoulait)

Been going there for years, though they are a bit pricey.

Or, you might try contacting Rightsock, if you are willing to hang out with an old Faire Buddy. Of course, thats a bit of a drive from you, but it's up to you.

I think the Sauna is what FanBoy & I used too (the location sounds correct, anyhow). It was good for hot tubbing, but I think their massages weren't very good.

I agree about the massages (and I'm a bit of a snob where that's concerned I admit) but if you can get the Redwood Tub it's really nice.

FanBoy used to live a few blocks from there, so I wouldn't be surprised if thats where you went.

The Hot Tubs is decent - nice tub, nice sauna, painted cinderblock walls, and a somewhat antiseptic feel, which is ok by me. It's a little pricey, though.

If you have a gym membership, see if they have one. 24-Hour in downtown Oakland has a hot tub.
