Although not as far along as we would like, much progress was made yesterday. I no longer have the entertainment unit or the papasan chair as they have been picked-up by people who responded to my craiglist post. With lots of help from [livejournal.com profile] devonapple and DW (thanks, guys!), the bedroom and garage were stripped of most of the charity items, which were placed out in the driveway for pick-up from The Salvation Army today. We are not sure what they will take, and we are concerned that we will get there tonight only to find much of it still there. Neither of us expect it to all be gone, but we hope to see very little left.

Yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] abditus made several runs to the El Cerrito recycling and got rid of a lot of stuff. Even [livejournal.com profile] waywardbound came by and took away all the excess... um... drinks (have fun, dear!). We each have a couple of carloads left to move, and there are a couple of large items that abditus was trying to sell on craigslist that have stalled (the buyers are being flaky for one reason or another). We also have a couple of "bulky" trash items that need to be removed.

The landlady for the old place gave me the number for a guy who I might be able to hire to haul away the remaining trash, but no one is answering. She really wants us to get it all removed by Saturday, if possible, so she can start doing repairs before she puts the house on the market. I have tried looking online for the people that [livejournal.com profile] bdot suggested, but with no luck. Does anyone know of an inexpensive trash hauling service that works in the east bay?
