Today was not even close to being as productive as I had hoped. I still have way too much stuff at my old house, and I woke-up with the beginnings of a cold. I am rundown and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Things of note:

I did not get the entertainment unit I need to get rid of into the yard sale (and thus still have it) and am not sure how to get rid of it short of paying to have it hauled to the dump. I wish someone would come take it and make use of it instead of trashing it, since it is still in serviceable condition.

The papasan chair still needs a home, and of the two people who expressed any interest for it on LJ, neither have made any actual noises about WHEN they might come take it.

It turns out that I probably cannot take my night-stand, so if anyone needs one, that is also available. It has two drawers, and brass handles.

I really need help with the clean-out. It is down to the dregs, and I can't do it all on my own. We are supposed to be out by the end of the month, but I got permission to stay until the weekend so that [livejournal.com profile] bdot could do the move-out clean. There is still too much here that either needs to go to the new place or be thrown-out (or recycled) for me to deal with alone.

I was also supposed to go back to work tomorrow, but now that I am feeling like I am fighting a cold, I am seriously thinking of taking a precious sick-day. I know I could really use the rest, but if I do take it off, I am probably going to be here cleaning and moving.

Have you put the entertainment center on Craigslist free stuff?

I will see what happens. I am trying cheap, instead of free, so I hope that does not backfire on me.

I really wish I could help you, but I've been off work over a week already, and I'm fighting for my contract to be renewed next Monday. Definitely list the stuff on craigslist -- people will snatch stuff up from there pretty quickly, especially the papasan chair.

Thanks! You have helped more than I could have hoped, considering how unwell you have been feeling.

If you still have it, I'll come get it as soon as my parents give me my bloody car back! I was supposed to get it back from them last night, but I think they've decided that they like my Jetta better than they like my dad's convertible, and they're resisting.

Hrmph on them.

of course, the only thing I listed on craigslist that got any response was the papasan chair, so it is now spoken for. if said person does not pick it up tomorrow night, I will let you know.

sorry!

The wife and I can clear up our Wednesday evening to help you -- when should we stop by?

I love you guys! If all goes well tonight, we can focus on the much more fun unpacking up at the new place, but I am not holding my breath about that. 7 PM would be great.

Got it

Got it -- just let us know where we're going after work. I don't have the new address easy to hand.
