Yard Sale plans
Mar. 14th, 2005 10:01 amThe agreed upon date for the yard sale so desperately needed at this house has been settled on for Sunday, March 20. Although none of us are morning people, I suspect we will need to start as early as 9 AM (which in yard sale time is late). End time is undecided as I know yard sale goers arrive in waves, and can show up as late as 4, but I suspect I will be tired enough by 3 to want to close up.
If you see anything you are interested in on the list below, let me know. If you have been to our house and don't see something you thought abditus or I might have meant to pass on, feel free to point it out to either of us.
Here is a dry run of my listing for craigslist:
Yard Sale [location to come and date info as above]
A solid wood desk, which has a drawer that is broken, but is easily repairable with new drawer tracks ($50 obo). Another desk is a modern large corner desk, with keyboard tray, and two large side tables ($100 obo). A child's desk in good condition.
Bookshelves, butcherblock kitchen cart, kids table and chairs (wooden set). Office chairs, a folding drafting table.
Lots of paperback books, mostly sci-fi/fantasy, as well as some romance, and mystery. Several coffee table and reference books, including cook books.
Clothes: woman's sizes 10-18, lots of t-shirt (men's & women's, m-xl) and woman's shoes size 8.5.
Various kitchen items, including a steamer appliance.
Other items: Marine aquarium, telescope, old large canvas tent, old card table, exercise bike.

Date: 2005-03-18 02:24 am (UTC)did either you or Chad post about a breakup? is that the cause of the sale here?
I am sorry I have not been keeping up with the two of you. I can try to come help with the yard sale if you would like, at the least I could come keep company/help for an hour or three...
and if you have bookshelves I would definitely like to make an offer.
let me know, please, if you would like my help?
(I'll post my landline phone number in a separate comment, as the cellphone is not currently working.)
Hug!

Date: 2005-03-19 12:29 am (UTC)The yard sale date has been moved to Saturday the 26th since there is no way we will be ready and the rain is likely to ruin it anyway. However, help getting things ready, even if just to keep me company and keep me motivated, it very welcome. Bookshelves may very well be available. Chad and I have not talked about which of any we got together are going where, but neither of us have lots of space in our new places, so less is best is our motto right now.
