I sent it along to my dad, who had reason to know some of this history. Here is what he had to say in return:
very cool...all of the info in this that I know about rings true. Dana Morgan's is where I took lessons from him, and I saw his bluegrass performances several times at the Tangent (some friends and I also played at a hootenany there once). Kepler's was also a big hangout for more the Joan Baez crowd. blast from the past
