About this time last week, the forecast predicted rain for the upcoming Saturday. Well, it did end up raining, but only in the morning, for the most part. We did not have the yard sale, but this was probably a good thing as time was spent organizing the garage and much of the yard sale items in question in preparation for the postponed sale this Saturday.

Several days ago it looked like it might rain this Saturday as well, but now, the forecast predicts sunny so I think it is safe to say the yard sale is a go. I hope [livejournal.com profile] noirem can make it again this time (sorry I missed you!).

I am almost disappointed. I know I have said this before, but my high school best-friend, [livejournal.com profile] msvwrose, will be visiting that morning, all the way from Arizona and I would not have minded devoting the morning to hanging out with her. However, she was cool with the idea of having an open-house style brunch and helping out with the yard sale, so that should make it more fun.

I have come to the conclusion that this yard sale thing will take several tries to be effective. I don't want to be one of those houses that has yard sales every Saturday, but November is not really yard sale season, so I suspect I will end up with a lot of it in the garage until the rainy season lets up, and the weather starts to warm up again. I really did not want to drag this out, and I guess time will tell just how my battle with clutter survives the inertia of more time in storage.

In my scope of experience, I don't see myself as a neat-nick. Neither do I see myself as a slob. I feel like I fall somewhere fairly close to the middle. I just wish it were more of a happy medium.

For those who know me, on a scale of one (neat-nick) to ten (slob), where do I fall? And whether you know me well or not, how would you rate yourself?
