The Pizza-Mafia
May. 26th, 2004 01:18 pmI am both amused and disturbed to read that there not only is a Pizza-Makers's Association in Italy, but that they have decided to regulate how authentic pizza is made.
One of the things I love about pizza, Italy's answer to flat-bread, is its versatility. True, I am not a fan of some of the things that Brits do to pizza (like sweet corn and tuna!), but the beauty of pizza is that it can be tailored to your specific tastes and moods. The yuppy pizza revolution has changed how many people think about this flat food, but I am still rather fond of a good Margherita pizza.
What is your favorite pizza?
