My socks are dry!! Yay! I draped them over the back of my computer when I took them off several hours ago (they were only damp, not drippy) and it seems to have worked. Not only that, my office manager was very sweet, and loaned me her heater (unasked even). It is now pointing at my boots in hopes of drying them out before I need to put them on at the end of the day. My pant legs are mostly dry, but with dry socks to buffer them from my skin, I hardly notice.

Warm feet vastly improves my mood.
