If I get the Southern California discount tickets to Disneyland using a so-cal friend's info, will I have to prove my residency when we enter the park the first time with said tickets?

They look like the best price for what we want, but I worry that I will be asking for trouble since I have no way to prove my residency.

You might. Best plan is to have someone local on hand when you go in. *tries to remember last time* I know you need it when you buy the tickets...of course.

From Disneyland's website using 92065 as a Southern Zipcode:

• Tickets valid for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and Northern Baja California residents within ZIP codes 21000-22999. Proof of residency required for admission.

• Admission valid for one day at Disneyland® park and another day at Disney's California Adventure® park, but not for both parks on the same day. Tickets are valid 30 days from first use. First use must occur between 1/07/08 through 4/24/08. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use.

• May purchase up to 8 tickets per person per day with valid ID. Tickets may not be sold or transferred for commercial use. Offer may not be combined with other discounts or promotions. Offer not valid before 01/07/08. Subject to restrictions and change without notice.

I've done it a few times and never had a problem.

I make a point of not carrying a purse so they can't ask for ID.

I've ussually shown the ol' driver's license or bill with name/address that I've recieved something locally.

Can you mail yourself something to a local address that looks like a bill? Something that could be tossed later?

proof of residency is required when purchasing tickets. once you are at the "taking tickets" place, they don't have the time or manpower to check for it.
