Henna and music
May. 2nd, 2007 10:23 amI have been asked to set-up a henna booth at Karfluki Fest which is this Saturday. Am I prepared? Um... not sure. I realize to do this the way I want to I have to put together the stuff for a booth space. Some of it I have, but there is plenty that will need my gather to make it comforatable and functional.
My biggest concern is that I may end up doing this alone. I have talked with one of the henna artists that I work with at Ren Faire and he is going to try to get time off from work to come help me. If he is not available, I am looking at solid work with few breaks, but I guess that means I will get to keep all the profits, which I dearly need.
Does anyone want to join me and help flog henna, while enjoying Tempest and other live performances? I can pay some for the pleasure, plus admission ($27 value). If you can do henna, even better, as you will make more.
It is a two hour drive just to get there, and the event goes from noon to 10 PM. One of my concerns is driving home after a long day. The drive there should not be too much of a problem, although I am not looking forward to getting up early enough to get there by 9:30 for set-up. After the festival is over, I will need to strike my booth, which will probably result in not being ready to leave until close to midnight.
Hey, is there anyone in the greater Sacramento area that might have crash space for me at nearly midnight on Saturday? I may even be willing to henna you for the trouble (assuming I have henna left and am not burned out).
( List for myself )
