I got tickets for us to fly into Long Beach because we are staying at a hotel in Anaheim (00smittenkitten pointed out that it makes more sense anyway since it is the closer airport, and that way we can take JetBlue from Oakland). Our flight arrives Friday at 8:30 pm (JetBlue). Only problem is there does not seem to be any easy way to get from the airport to the hotel that is not on the expensive side. It turns out that none of the Anaheim hotels have shuttles to Long Beach Airport. At the moment, the best option seems to be taking a taxi (anyone know how much that is going to cost?). Does anyone know of a better way to make that journey? Also, we will need to return Sunday night for a
Let me know if you are interested and/or need more details.

The aether carries the information, the aether is information. You are one of the few who know the ins and outs of Aether Terminals. You can access information across the Aethersphere, tapping into the Aetherpipes of anyone you want and stealing the information stored in their datatanks. Some think of you as a myth, a legend created to scare people. You are no myth or legend, you are quite real and you are currently reading the Queen’s AetherMissives.
We got about 80% of the stuff over to the new place (thanks to the helps of our moms and some awesome friends), but still have a bunch of stuff over at the Greenhouse, and a ton of cleanup to do there. And, of course, the task of unpacking, that includes just finding every day things. Not to mention that much of the furniture is not even where it will probably end-up living. I am going to use this earlier than intended morning to find my clothes.
Anyone want to come over and help us unpack? It will be like Christmas! No, really! Well, maybe not.
I will be packing most weeknights this week. I am usually home by or before 7 PM, but do warn me if you think you can make it.
Miss noirem, your book boxes and professional book handling services are very welcome. Delegating book packing is one of the easiest things to do in a move, and although is exactly the kind of packing I gravitate toward when I am avoiding the more complex stuff, I have been studiously avoiding it for that very reason.
Miss rose42dance, your offer of kitchen packing skills is also welcome, and will have to be done in concert with me as I will have to extract from much of the stuff that is staying here.
Miss bdot, I am not sure how to get your offer of boxes either, but it is good to know I have a source if I get desperate. I am hoping that does not happen though.
So, chaosloom and I got a place in Piedmont, which = good. We need to move before Faire starts = challenging. Add to that the idea that we would really prefer to have a camper/trailer set-up instead of a tent for Faire (we even already paid for a permit). That means we need to find one, which eats into the pack/move time. Finding one is proving to be a challenge.
Anyone out there among my friends with time to help with the move (packing/moving/use of vehicle)? We are looking at the weekend of 23/24 for most of the big stuff, but are hoping to get some done this weekend too.
How about a trailer for under $1000?
Personally, I think I will avoid San Francisco all together, but some of you braver souls might want to check out the... show.
