The skies opened up...

It sure is coming down hard, and now I hear thunder.

Wow.

Please be careful out there on the road, and especially watch out for those on motorcycles, like [livejournal.com profile] abditus and [livejournal.com profile] fan_boy.

Glad I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to wear my boots.

We had a momentary flash of sunlight... and rain. But it is cluody and dry again. Berkeley, just has to be different, doesn't it?

Of course it does.

My co-worker's dog is very unhappy. Not only did the sky get him wet (the main reason he hates rain) but this time it growled loudly at him also.

FanBoy is going on a ride tonight.

If it had been raining this bad this morning, I doubt abditus would have rode to work.

Hopefully it will clear-up in time for the ride, or they will reschedule for a dryer time.

Don't know, I might have. The last rain culled a few idiots off the road. It always the first rain of the season that is the scariest.

But I didn't listen to the weather this morning -- I turned off NPR only after a few minutes.

We had hail for a bit over here in SF.

Last year we had hail in Oakland for a bit, also. I even got photos.
hail, in Oakland?

I can see blue sky here in Santa Clara. Maybe a few clouds but they don't look threatening.

If there is any rain left in them, they are probably heading your way.

We might get some rain, but anything beyond the drizzle earlier seems unlikely until tonight.

Our clouds tend to come in over the Santa Cruz Mountains and then head east to Livermore, so we don't see the exact same weather that you do (and even if we did, we'd see it first).

Although, curiously enough, there is this weird spiral going on in the Bay area today that means that the northeast bay's weather is heading up into the north bay, then into San Francisco. If I'm reading the satellite maps correctly, that is.
