what's in a name?

Of course, I had to check out my BF's horoscope as well, and was amused at the theme since it effects me.

Libra
The moment is ripe to initiate shifts in the way you create your closest relationships. For starters, I suggest you change the words you habitually use to deal with this part of your life. "Relationship," for instance, is a crashingly dull term for something so interesting. Try "hookup" or "two-way" instead. And rather than referring to someone as your "friend" or "partner," call him or her your "accomplice," your "freestyle," or your "lightning." Dead terms like "significant other," "boyfriend," "girlfriend," and "spouse" should be forever banished as well. In their places, try "lushbuddy," "heartbeat," or "jelly roll." Feel free, of course, to dream up your own fresh slang.

Right now I am usually just honey or sweetie when he is talking to me, which I like just fine, but I am not sure what he refers to me when talking about me to other people. We use "Domestic Partner" on most forms (joint account, health insurance, etc.), but that is only for legal stuff, and I doubt he say "My domestic partner and I went for a ride this weekend."

Well, I admit, we barely talk anymore these days, but last I checked, you're his Girlfriend.

Sure, that is the standard term, and I was fairly sure it was what he used. The point of the horoscope was for him to come up with something non-standard. I kind of doubt he cares enough to even think about it, even though I sent him the horoscope.

le sigh...
