Working from home gives me more time to troll web sites like Tribe, so I was able to check out the topics in the various Faire tribes, etc. today.

An item of note to all my NorCalRenFaire attending friends, dress warmly! It looks like summer is really over, and we will probably find ourselves suddenly dealing with rain! If not rain during the weekend, at least some rain during the week, and cold temperatures to follow.

"Persons living in the San Francisco and Monterey bay areas should be prepared for a significant weather change beginning on Wednesday. Even light amounts of rain will result in slippery conditions on roadways due to months of dry weather allowing oil residues to build up. Those planning hunting or camping trips into the hills should be prepared for cool and blustery weather with isolated showers and possible thunderstorms."

Weather or not you attend Faire, this is likely to effect the entire bay area, so those who have been looking forward to the cool weather, your time has come.

I am packing my extra warm fleece PJs. Now I f only I had a sleeping bag that was big enough to fit an extra person inside to keep me warm.

Sounds like you have the extra person, though. If I had to choose, I'd rather have the extra person than the extra roomy sleeping bag. Have fun at Faire!

No person, no room, just me and my miserable shivering self. I thought about going back and rewriting that to indicated the need for an extra person as well. Ultimately I do not want an extra roomy sleeping bag unless there is someone to share it with, so I agree with your sentiment.

Sigh...
