Charity starts at home
I just got off the phone with The Salvation Army, and have scheduled to have them come by tomorrow to pick-up any clothes and dishes that are denotable. All we need to do is pack them up into bags and leave them in the driveway. I tried my best to pass along items that I thought would be appreciated by my friends already (
rogue_ravnos made out like a bandit being that she is just enough smaller than I to fit into many of my cast offs), but I was purging clothes as recently as last night, so there are items that might still be desirable up for grabs. Of course, as of tomorrow, whenever they are made to disappear by TSA will be the last chance.
I finally got some calls about the entertainment unit, which was the only thing that was not getting a response from my craigslist posting. Hopefully one of the people who called will take it, but if not, TSA will take that also. They will not take the metal file cabinet that I also forgot to put in the yard sale. I think there are some places that take metal recycling, but I need to go look them up again (looks like a Saturday morning run to El Cerrito Recycling)
