The whole AFA same-sex marriage poll thing
It makes me very sad and angry when people like the AFA seem to have more sway with congress then people who uphold the constitution. I cannot be certain that they are doing anything unethical to really skew the results (not that is would really surprise me), but internet polls are not the most accurate samplings anyway.
I do feel a bit encouraged that in the course of a couple of days, I have seen the results of the poll start to reflect what seems to be a less skewed result, likely due largely in part to people like![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
griffen tracking the results and getting the word out to the lj community.
Since following this, I have seen the percentage of votes for same-sex marriage go from just over 8% to over 42%.
