A friend linked to this article about an unusual fashion model, Velvet d'Amour. Oh, and for all you corset fans, she is too, and has them custom made.

Speaking of beautiful backsides, I am rather amused at the gaming company I ran across recently: Callipygian Games. They seem to be working on MMO games based on Grimm fairy tales.

Don't forget, there is a Game Night tomorrow in north Oakland.

For more details, go to the Meet-up for the First Fridays Game Night.

I have the soundtrack done, although now, thanks to a recent post by [livejournal.com profile] waywardbound I must add:

Cannot seem to find a copy in MP3 I can get ahold of in time. For some reason, iTunes does not carry this one. Sigh... anyone out there able to help?

I really should post a review of the game night that I hosted last month.

I am delighted to report that it was well attended by a total of 10 people, including myself, with an even split of men to woman! Thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] gardengirl_34 who purchased snacks.

This was such a success that I am going to indeed have these the First Friday of each month. The next one will be on December 1st at the same time and location.

As I mentioned before, I was asked to host a singles game night at It's Your Move Games and Hobbies. After some discussion, it was agreed Friday nights are the best night to host that kind of event at the shop, and that once a month works for frequency. I decided that the first Friday of the month seems best as it is easy to remember, and there are few if any holiday conflicts.

That brings me to November 3, the first Friday of the next month. Please feel free to repost this information in places you feel would read by those who might be interested (I can send you the HTML version if you wish). Also, please let me know of any comments or edits to the below post that would make this more appealing to the intended audience.

Seeking: Singles who play well with others to enjoy a night of social game play.

Singles Game Night
Friday, November 3, 2006
7:25 PM

It's Your Move Games and Hobbies
4920 Telegraph Avenue (Temescal, North Oakland)
Oakland, CA 94609
510-547-4FUN (4386)

Please join us for a night of the kind of games you do want to play with others.

Games that:
• are suitable for 2 or more players
• are easy to learn
• take an hour or less to play

Social and party games, such as Apples to Apples, Fluxx, Wise and Otherwise, Cranium, Set, Chez Geek and others in that style are typical, however, if you have one you want to share that meet the above criteria, please bring it along.

The goal is to have fun, get to know each other, and maybe even learn a new game or two. Please bring yourself (and other single game-playing friends), any games and/or snacks you want to share, and your sense of adventure.

This could be sooo cool! I might even be willing to play it instead of WoW. OK, probably not instead of, but you get the idea.

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] hellsjester, for sharing this link.

A friend of mine asked me to host a Singles Game Night at her game shop in Oakland. I was wondering if I could get some feedback from the peanut gallery.

Please comment if you have any thoughts to share on this idea. I am especially looking for ideas of how to promote this as well as suggestions for good games to play.
